🐾 Backcountry Kit FAQs

The Tactical Kit features standard ID patches (like “Do Not Pet” or “In Training”), a water bottle holder, and side pouches for essential gear—perfect for dogs that need visibility or extra control in busy or rugged settings. The All-Terrain Kit includes a collapsible bowl and upgraded comfort touches for longer-distance exploration.

Both kits are trail-capable. The Tactical is ideal for high-energy dogs, service companions, and short-to-mid-range treks. The All-Terrain is built for longer outings—think forest trails, creek crossings, and weekend adventures.

The All-Terrain Kit is available in sizes Small through XL—making it a great fit for trail-loving dogs of all shapes and sizes. The Tactical Kit is best suited for medium to extra-large dogs (typically 35+ lbs) due to its added gear and structure. If your pup is under 20 lbs or prefers a lighter setup, our Urban Kits may be a better fit.

The All-Terrain Kit includes a collapsible water bowl. The Tactical Kit features a bottle holster but does not come with a bowl—so we recommend adding a collapsible bowl from our Create Your Own Kit section as an optional upgrade.

Yes! Both kits come with standard hook-and-loop (Velcro-style) patch areas. The Tactical Kit includes standard utility patches, while the All-Terrain Kit allows you to personalize or swap your own. Soon we will offer custom patches.

Absolutely. Each kit is compact and designed for grab-and-go convenience. Gear items like the harness, leash, and accessories fit easily in your pack or carry-on bag.

While not fully waterproof, all materials are rugged, quick-drying, and trail-tough. They can handle mud, rain, and river splashes—and rinse off easily when the adventure ends.
